Now with Drupal

So it's been a while since I've updated the site. I'm still getting great traffic on a few of the key tech articles and screencasts. But I haven't done an update in a while because I was running on an old version of Joomla and it felt like a waste of time to be building out new features and adding content. Several times I've started on a migration to Drupal only to fall short as I got busy with other things. There's a great saying that most designers and web developers will appreciate: "The cobbler's children go unshod."

Finally this January I sat down and seriously started a migration. I skipped redesigning and focused on feature parity, and here's the result. The site is up on the latest version of Drupal, has all the same content and features, and even has all the old URLs preserved so that SEO rankings aren't lost. Now that the site is on a modern platform, I should be able to roll out new features more regularly, especially my portfolio, adding more than just photography. For that matter, I should be adding a lot more photography!
